zandy tasber

The Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Alexandra Tasber as the next principal of HF-L Middle School, following a thorough selection process that included four rounds of interviews and nearly seven and a half hours of final-round conversations with the top two candidates.

Tasber, who is known to many in the community as Zandy, is both a district resident and a parent. She currently serves as an Assistant Principal at Webster Schroeder High School, a role she has held since 2020. Prior to her administrative career, Tasber spent 11 years teaching seventh and eighth grade English Language Arts in the West Irondequoit School District.

Her academic credentials include a BA in English from SUNY Geneseo, an MA in English from the University of Rochester, an MS in Special Education from St. John Fisher College, and a K–12 Educational Leadership Advanced Certificate from the University of Rochester.

“I was thoroughly impressed with Zandy's rigorous, student-centered approach. Her vision for the future of HF-L Middle School and her commitment to remain at HF-L were paramount in the decision-making process,” said Superintendent Gene Mancuso. “I personally want to thank each of you who provided feedback or participated in the process. Hiring is one of the most important tasks of the office of the superintendent, and I rely heavily on the feedback I receive.”

Tasber’s hiring was approved as part of the Board of Education’s consensus agenda on April 22, 2025. The district is now focused on creating a thoughtful and supportive transition plan to ensure long-term success and stability at the middle school.

HF-L extends its sincere gratitude to all who were involved in the search process and looks forward to welcoming Mrs. Tasber—and all new hires—to the district in the upcoming school year.
