Juniors:  School Counselors will be in 11th grade English classes this week.  Our focus will be post high school planning.  With 91% of the Class of 2019 attending college, and many of our students choosing to attend after a gap year or time spent working, we find these classes a good way to introduce all students to college search and selection activities.  Each student receives an informational guide and instruction on how to use Naviance to explore career and college opportunities.

Parents and students, please call the Counseling Center to set up a one hour appointment time to discuss you post high school plans with your school counselor.  We hope to meet with all our families during the months of March and April.

While the holidays are a time of happiness and joy, it can also be a time of stress and anxiety.  Most of our life experiences are within our control, but some things are not.  It is important during this busy season to step back and take stock of our emotions.  We should also recognize the challenges that others may face at this time.  The Mayo Clinic offers the following advice to how to manage stress during this holiday season.  LINK
If you find you are still struggling, please reach out to a trusted adult or school counselor, we are available to listen and help you find help.
